Available for Windows, Mac and iOS. If a test has been created within Blackboard that requires that the students use the LockDown Browser to complete it, follow the instructions below.
Step 1. From the left-hand navigation menu in the course, click on Course Tools, then scroll down to click on Respondus LockDown Browser. Step 2. On the next page, all deployed tests in the course will be listed. Step 3. Click on the menu to Modify Settings for a particular test.
Step 4. It is recommended to NOT require an additional password. Step 5. Click Save and Close. Following these steps to require the LockDown browser will automatically change certain settings on the test.
These changed settings are necessary for the LockDown Browser to function properly. The test will open in a new window. A password will be automatically generated and appear in the password box.
